Welcome to Misfuelled Car Fixer Group Ltd (https://www.misfuelledcarfix.co.uk). These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the emergency wrong fuel recovery services we provide across our service areas. By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Scope of Services

Misfuelled Car Fixer Group Ltd provides mobile, roadside decontamination services for vehicles that have suffered fuel or fluid contamination. Our specialized services include:

  • Standard Misfuel Recovery: Draining petrol from diesel tanks or diesel from petrol tanks.

  • AdBlue Contamination Service: Draining and flushing AdBlue that has been accidentally put into a diesel fuel tank.

  • AdBlue Tank Contamination Service: Draining and cleaning AdBlue tanks that have been contaminated with screenwash or other incorrect fluids.

  • Water Contamination Service: Draining and flushing fuel systems contaminated with water.

2. Safety and Location Restrictions (No Motorways or Dual Carriageways)

The safety of our technicians and our customers is our absolute priority. Due to the high-risk nature of fast-moving traffic, we enforce the following strict location rules:

  • No Motorway Service: We do not provide fuel drain or decontamination services to vehicles stranded on any motorway, motorway hard shoulder, or motorway slip road.

  • No Dual Carriageway Service: We do not provide services to vehicles stranded on dual carriageways or any high-speed, unlit major A-roads where it is unsafe to work.

  • What you must do: If your vehicle misfuels or breaks down on a motorway or dual carriageway, you must use a standard towing or highway recovery service to safely move the vehicle to a secure, low-speed side road, car park, or residential area before our technicians can attend.

3. Bookings and Safety Deposits

To secure your emergency dispatch slot and protect our mobile technicians against false alarms or last-minute cancellations, the following payment terms apply:

  • Safety Deposit Required: We require a non-refundable safety deposit for each and every booking before a technician is dispatched to your location.

  • Payment of Deposit: This deposit must be paid over the phone or via our secure mobile payment link at the time of booking.

  • Deduction from Total: The safety deposit amount will be deducted from your final total invoice once the decontamination service is successfully completed.

  • Cancellations: If you cancel the service after the technician has been dispatched, the safety deposit will be retained by Misfuelled Car Fixer Group Ltd to cover the technician’s time, vehicle usage, and fuel costs.

4. Critical Notice Regarding AdBlue, Screenwash, and Water Contamination

Fluids like AdBlue, screenwash, and water are highly corrosive and destructive to modern engine components if the ignition is turned on or the vehicle is driven.

  • AdBlue in Diesel Tank: AdBlue crystallizes quickly inside fuel systems. If you have turned on the ignition or started the engine, the AdBlue may have already reached the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors, causing severe mechanical damage.

  • Screenwash in AdBlue Tank: Putting screenwash or water into a dedicated AdBlue tank can immediately damage the sensitive AdBlue quality sensors, heaters, and pumps.

  • Water Contamination: Water inside a diesel or petrol fuel system can cause catastrophic internal corrosion and pump failure.

  • Our Service Limitation: Our service is strictly limited to the mechanical draining, pumping out, and flushing of the affected tanks and lines. We do not replace damaged internal engine components, injectors, or sensors on the roadside.

5. Limits of Liability

While our technicians are highly trained specialists, driving a vehicle or turning on the ignition after contamination can cause immediate, pre-existing internal damage.

  • Misfuelled Car Fix accepts no liability for any mechanical, electrical, or sensor failures that occur as a result of AdBlue, screenwash, water, or incorrect fuel being introduced to the vehicle's systems prior to our arrival.

  • If a vehicle cannot start or experiences dashboard error lights due to pre-existing damage caused by the contamination, the full quoted service fee remains payable upon completion of our flushing process.

6. Pricing and Payment

  • The total price quoted depends on the type of vehicle, your location, the type of contamination (AdBlue and water decontaminations require different chemical processes and disposal fees compared to standard fuel drains), and whether the engine was started.

  • The remaining balance (total price minus your safety deposit) must be paid immediately upon completion of the service, before our technician leaves the site.

  • We accept major debit/credit cards and secure digital payments.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time to reflect updates to our safety policies, changing environmental disposal laws, or operational updates.
